The leaves and small purple flowers of the Red Rubin basil cultivar make it a basil appreciated for its ornamental qualities as well as its rather sweet flavour. Compact plant of approximately 30 cm height, it can be cultivated in full ground or in pot. In kitchen, one uses it like the other varieties of basil.
