Beans – Bush – Purple Teepee

Purple Teepee is one of the better purple bush bean varieties out there and the only purple bush variety I’ll be making available this year. The reason why I think these beans are better than most consists of a few reasons. Longer 12-15cm pods that are stringless and have the sweetest taste. The production window starts early, but unlike most other beans they will keep on producing nonstop for about two months. The pods have an extremely good shelf life and will keep very long if you can’t get to them all at one time. Purple Tee-Pee also will be one of the most ornamental beans in your garden, as the foliage displays an above-normal dark green, before turning purple as soon as the sun starts to get to them. All purple beans turn green when cooked, but they are much healthier when eaten raw as you’ll get in all those anthocyanins. Try these, you won’t be disappointed.
