African Birds Eye Chilli (also known as Peri Peri) is a hot pepper that has many applications the most common being peri-peri and other sauces. Its flavour and bite make it ideal for sauces and to add tang to any dish or salsa. It has a Scoville heat unit range of up to 175,000 to 200,000 Scoville heat units.

Germination temperatures between 20 and 35 degrees. Can be grown indoors or in a sheltered environment year-round if temperatures are kept above 15 degrees. Seeds germinate better after soaking in purified water for at least 48 hours. Birdseye bushes can get quite large so it is better to grow outdoors once the plant reaches around 30 to 45cm.
