Garlic chives, also known as Chinese chives, are a lovely alternative to standard chives. This is the fastest way to add some flavour to a bland dish or to spruce up a salad. Both the leaves and flowers are edible and have a mild-garlic flavour, which makes a great addition to cream cheese; delicious slathered over a few crackers. This variety grows anywhere between 30cm and 38cm tall
