Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occurring sedimentary rock, consisting of fossilized remains of diatoms – silica rich, single-celled algae. This soil amendment encourages retention of water and nutrients, while draining freely and allowing high oxygen circulation within the growing medium.
DE has many other uses, from propagation, plant nutrient, natural pest control to natural animal health!

What is Diatomaceous Earth?
Diatomaceous Earth is created by grinding up the fossilized shells of tiny water-dwelling organisms called diatoms. The ground-up diatoms have microscopically fine, sharp edges that cut the exoskeletons of insects.
How to Use Diatomaceous Earth?
Diatomaceous Earth is used as a barrier to crawling pests such as ants, slugs, snails, and earwigs. DE loses its effectiveness when wet but regains it when it dries out again. Apply in the early morning or evening to minimize disruption to beneficial insects. Use a mask to avoid breathing the dust.
