A well-known favourite in South Africa and traditionally eaten either as a breakfast fruit or in fruit salads. It was developed by a Japanese grower living in California in the 1920’s to sell at local markets. This well-known and stunning netted variety is a sure winner in your garden or on your table. It is slip ripened, which means that when ripe the stem of the fruit will part from the fruit under slight pressure, indicating that it is ripe and is simply perfect for your plate.
